This place is beautiful that’s for sure. I’m giving it one star because the lake has some dangerous areas and they should have life guards around in case of an emergency, however there’s not a single one. In case of an emergency, you can certainly die at this place. About 2 weeks ago, I was there at the area behind the cliff. There’s this part that you can clearly see rocks under the water and it seems like it’s a shallow area. I sled on moss and fell on the water, and almost died. It took 3 men to try to save me. The first one wasn’t able to do it, the second was able to rescue me when I was already getting unconscious, but to take me out of the water he had to push me over the rocks, which would have been impossible for just him alone to do it. Thank God there was a gentleman standing on the rock and helped me to climb it up, otherwise I don’t know if I’d be here to write this review. I can just say those were terrible moments. It was an accident that I fell and almost drawn, however this park fails in not having prepared personal or life guards watching over for their clients. Considering the fact that they charge for people come in, they should definitely provide a safe environment to attendees.
Great place, but what the heck is it?! I think they just dumped a ton of water in a hole and convinced people to buy boats. It was very nice to escape the Utah heat in these waters and we were able to guzzle down special drinks with no issue. Be sure to hydrate ;)
No need to bring a towel! This place is toasty.
Beautiful park offering a variety of activities. Beautiful reservoir! If I ever miss the waters of the Pacific NW, I come here. Awesome red sand, too. It's like walking on mars! Love this park!
Plenty of sand and sun. The restrooms were very dirty but that is understandable with the amount of people coming to them from the beach.
The water is so nice! There are sandy beaches to relax on and rocks to climb. We didn't use it, but there's a launching place for boats. I would recommend bringing flotation devices for anyone who isn't a strong swimmer. There were two incidents where a friend and I had to rescue adults from drowning on their way to the island in the middle of the lake. Have fun, and be safe!
