The people who handle car registrations and other administrative functions are really friendly and work hard to please the residents. The lake is wonderful too and frankly is the only reason i keep my house here. Now the bad part. The property tax in this town is through the roof. Just compare it to Freedom NH which shares the lake. This town loves to “milk” the Lakers who are paying disproportionately high property taxes. The town loves to create town jobs. In the old days there were only a few people working at the Town Hall. The population here has not changed much so why are the additional employees needed? Now all these employees need something to do so god forbid you break some rule or mess up on payments. Expect to be sued quickly. Live free? Not so much here
