MY DOC - Skyn Deep

I had so many different issues here it was insane. I have had gynecological issues since I first got my period almost 8 years ago, and had just worked with my pediatrician until I decided it was time to go to an actual gynecologist to figure things out. I have been on so many different types of pill BCs and none of them worked for me and I had all of the terrible side affects, and I tried to tell her this at my first appointment and she said that we just needed to try different types (even though I had tried more than 5 types previously). I felt like she didn't really listen to my concerns and didn't even ask me about my history. She just prescribed me a pill and left it at that. Low and behold it didn't work well for me and I called to switch. The nurse was very rude on the phone and seemed like she didn't believe the symptoms I was having and told me I should wait a little longer even though I had already waited over a week to call. Their communication is terrible because one person told me they would call me in a different pill, and when I went to go pick it up it was the exact same kind I had already had. I had to call multiple times to figure it out and got the same poor attitude from the nurse every time. I tried to be understanding that they just had a miscommunication but things like this happened multiple times and I only went there for about 5 months. I went to one other appointment that they ended up sending me home from with a prescription for the patch BC. I had to cancel my appointments twice because things kept coming up and I honestly just did not want to go back there after my experiences, until they told me I would be unable to refill my birth control again until I was seen (they let me know this two days before I needed a refill when I called them bc my pharmacy called and said that the authorization request was denied). They said they would schedule me an appointment ASAP and just allow me one more refill since I needed it so soon, and it took about 4 more calls back and forth with them and the pharmacy because they kept declining the authorization even though I had made the earliest appointment that I could. The nurse always seemed so angry with me on the phone every time I called. After asking around to my friends for recommendations to go elsewhere I called and cancelled my appointment and scheduled elsewhere. I did not have one positive experience with this place, and getting any information from them was a struggle. I will say that their receptionist was very sweet and communicated very well with me when I was scheduling appointments.

Dr. McFadden has been my OB GYN for almost 8 years, my experience has been great!

Beautiful office. Clean. Nice experience. And very thoughtful and thorough. Dr McFadden addressed all my issues and I didn’t feel ignored. Deb was wonderful at drawing blood. Thank you

Dr thatcher is amazing. Deb is amazing at drawing blood and being compassionate and understanding. The billing lady, however, is not so pleasant. It seems like I’m bother or nuisance every time I call if she answers. Unfortunately I will be switching offices due to the front end aspect of the office.

I have been a patient here for just over 11 years, that being said I am just shocked at the negative reviews on this site. Dr. McFadden & Dr. Thatcher have been nothing but AMAZING to me over the years with my never ending health issues. I have sent multiple family members & countless friends & strangers. What I find most insulting & disturbing is that these same people complaining about having to wait to be seen are the same people who are in the exam room taking up more than their allotted time explaining their issues/ problems causing others to also have to wait to be seen & think nothing of it, but how dare they have to wait. The Dr's here are so caring & professional they never cut you off or complain that you are making them run behind, they listen & resolve your issue. As far as their office staff or nurses being rude, that couldn't be further from the truth. It's always funny how when people who are used to getting their way don't, they end up pulling the rude card. I noticed a few comments about no one being at the reception desk...hmmmm....I don't know about you but Incertainly have had to leave my desk multiple times a day to use the restroom. The bottom line is be courteous, pay your bill, show up for your appts & chill out. These Dr's truly care about their patients & their families. If you want some prim & proper, arrogant, narcissist for a Dr. I suggest you go somewhere else. The rest of us appreciate all of the Holidays, weekends, latenights & family events that these wonderful people have sacrificed just to make sure we are healthier & the way that they go above and beyond for their patients.
