Great place for getting the Covid 19 vaccine. They have a very good process in place. A pharmacy student gave me my vaccine and I was very impressed.
Checked out at 9:30 pm March 30th on the fresh side self checkouts.nnFirst thing I noticed walking into the checkout is the drink coolers are practically empty. Clearly nobody at this store cares to get on Pepsi and Coke to keep them full. The entire checklane queue where drinks were supposed to be stocked is just a big missed opportunity.nnThat's not where I came up with the 1 star review. It comes from the fact that the self checkout attendant Adam had ripped jeans on, and was wearing a pair of huge can headphones. This guy had his music on so loudly I had to repeat myself twice as he 'helped' me. I'm 99% sure Meijer has a dress code and it's not ripped jeans and headphones. I COULD be wrong thoug.
Similar to other reviews, I’m also disappointed to see that Knapp corner Meijer is not enforcing their mask policy. When I questioned the manager about their lack of enforcement, she assured me that customers were only allowed to shop unmasked if they have a “medical condition.” She also stated that customers were being screened upon entry. I did not witness any meijer employees present in the entryway screening customers during my entry and/or exit of the store. As someone that often works in a covid ICU here in Grand Rapids, I sincerely hope that Meijer will do a better job in the future protecting the public from the few individuals not wearing masks during this terrible pandemic.
While this place is very clean and most of the staff is quite friendly I am disappointed to see the employees outside not wearing masks. While I understand the cart corrallers are working outside they are still coming within 6 ft of people especially when they bring the carts into the store. I witnessed in particular an elderly woman bringing her cart to the corral and an employee walked right next to her. Common Sense isn't hard unless you want it to be.
Was very disappointed to see Meijer is not enforcing customers to wear masks inside the grocery store during COVID pandemic per government mandate. There were many people without masks. I spoke with the manager and he stated that a person can enter the store without a mask if they have a “medical clearance.” Well, we all know those people are lying, as there are no such medical conditions. Unfortunately, I don’t feel safe shopping at Meijer anymore. What else are they doing that’s not up to code that we don’t know about?
