I would have given them 0 stars, if that were allowed. I tried calling customer service at night but they were closed so I talked to someone in tech support who proceeded to tell me I needed customer service to complete what I needed so I hung up and waited until the next morning. When I called in the morning and talked to customer service, they told me I needed tech support and transferred my call to tech support. At which time, tech support told me AGAIN that I needed customer service and also needed to be an authorized user of the account in order to do what was necessary. I then, called the owner of the residence to tell them to call and when they did, the person the talked to told him that they would call the house landline (where I am) to take care of the issue because we needed to be near the WiFi router. The person never called us back so then I called the company once again. The person I connected with this time asked me about the static on the phone and said that the phone line was interfering with the WiFi and that someone would need to physically come to the house and fix this issue BUT would not be able to today. Tomorrow is a holiday so this issue will not be resolved in the necessary time needed to have WiFi of use for people in the house. Overall, to sum up my experience with FairPoint, I am very disappointed that my time was wasted and I was given false informant multiple times.
