My first par 4 birdie just happened here! Beautiful course. Back 9 was awesome.
We love to walk it but it would be better if the walking trails went all around the golf course so we could enjoy it year round.
This week there was an archaeology dig at Macktown. I was able to participate in the dig, and learned more about the people who used to reside there.nnThe people who run the program are fantastic to be around because they are well educated and chock full of information about Macktown. They also have great archaeology humor and stories.nnI would definitely recommend going to Macktown.nnPlus, they have plenty of wildlife to look at. I saw a baby snapping turtle, a baby rabbit, humming birds, and an opossum. There were plenty of birds that I wasn't able to identify there too. It's great to be out in nature!
Nice park. Went down to the river there for the first time. Took a few photos. Hoping they reflect what I was trying to capture. If so I'll add them here later.
Beautiful place to walk ,enjoy nature, play a round of golf. Very historic Winnebago county site.
