I went birding here and was no disappointed. The trail system is nicely maintained and the land is beautiful. I was able to see a large variety of birds including a pair of bald eagles. I did a total of 5 miles there and didn't even get to see it all. I will absolutely be going back.
My favorite place in Illinois. A beautiful preserve to visit any time of the year. Nice walking trails near the wetland area and through the restored prairie. Natural Land Institute also hold wonderful outdoor event here for the public.
Hidden gem - nice trails and lots of birds and wildlife!
Scenic hike with nice overlook, look for herons
went to see otters -no otters-but have pelicans!
