Jim Meason is by far the worst attorney I've ever encountered in over 20 years in the real estate business. On a $67,000 property that was a cash purchase he charged my $1000 because I was an out of state buyer which was a high fee on average for attorneys in that area, but I obliged. I put down $1000 as an earnest money deposit through Mr. Meason and paid him his $1000 fee as well. The home inspection revealed that the home was in no condition to be sold, so I instructed Jim to void the contract and return me my earnest money deposit. For that alone he charges me $1525.00 and returns me only $475.00 of my earnest money deposit. He charged over 1500 dollars for a house that he didn't even have to close on after he initially stated that his fee is usually 500 dollars but this time would be 1000 because I was an out of state buyer. Mind you this was all within a 2 week period. Its not like he had to do much more than send a few emails and make a few phone calls and get my earnest money returned to me. He is horrible at getting back to his clients in a timely manner, sometimes taking more than 3 business days to respond and never picks up his phone. He is a con man....do yourself the favor and stay away from him unless you have money to be scammed out of.

Jim is an extremely professional, knowledgeable, and over-the-top helpful attorney. Not only was he the lawyer for my Grandmother who passed away, but he also, very kindly and with never meeting me, took on an issue regarding my marriage license which myself, husband, and father were not able to resolve. He under-charged for his services (in my opinion). I would highly recommend him!

Jim handled both our home sale and my mothers home sale for us. He also helped us update our wills. We found him to be professional, efficient, knowledgeable and easy to access and work with. Highly recommend.

Jim is personable, easy to talk to, super friendly, and has an abundance of professional knowledge! Whenever I’ve called the office, I’ve either spoken to Jim directly or he has promptly called me back. Highly recommend!
