Love Moves Us is a wonderful non profit that supports foster and adoptive families. Jason and Cheryl, the couple that founded and run LoveMovesUs are amazing, loving, and genuine people. My family is a foster family, and we have relied on their monthly support groups over the past 4 years of being a foster family. They also provide support in tangible ways such as dinners and items that families might need when they first welcome a new child into their home. When people grow their families by having a new baby, the support is evident with baby showers and people dropping off meals. However, when we welcome new children into our homes through foster care, often times friends and family don't know what to do and we are on our own. Our lives change in massive ways, but we often don't receive the same support. Love Moves Us stands in that gap. They make sure we have what we need, whether it be a regular groups to process successes and challenges, or a family meal to welcome a new child, or even clothes or bedding that a new child coming into our home may lack.
