I used the Calder Allstate insurance for a number of years and always paid the policies in full each time the renewal can due. When I went thru my divorce and the property was separated it was determined that me ex-wife was to get the marital home. I called the Calder Allstate agency and explained the situation and even though the policy had been set up and paid for by me and I showed the agent that I was no longer legally responsible for the property the Calder Agency refused to cancel the policy and refund me the prorated amount due. They agreed that had I paid the policy monthly that they wouldn't have been able to force me to keep the policy in place but because i'd paid the policy in full they were going to take advantage of the situation. At the time I wasn't too upset about the fact that the agency was uncooperative and put the lost refund down to cost of getting a divorce. However I subsequently found out that my ex-wife made a claim on the policy after I'd requested it be cancelled that is affecting my insurance rates almost 3 years later. Calder had zero problems taking my $ but clearly had an issue refunding it. NOT RECOMMENDED
