Dr. Billings is a great doctor. I just relocated to Huntsville and was looking for a Gastrointerologist. Dr Billings took the time to listen to me, answered all of my questions, and provided all the care I needed. He is patient, caring, and very knowledgeable. His staff is wonderful as well! Note that he is very busy so you might have to wait at least 30 min to see him once you get to your appointment. Please note I’ve only seen him once and did have to wait. I will definitely be back.

Very friendly, has great bedside manner, attentive, knows his patients and always got to the root of my issues. If he doesn’t know a cause of an ailment he will research to figure it out.

Terrible bedside manner and, frankly, incompetent.

DO NOT USE DR. CHARLES JULIAN BILLINGS FROM CENTER FOR COLON & DIGESTIVE DISEASE IN HUNTSVILLE! My son has been battling cyclic vomiting syndrome for a long while now but over the last couple months, he has gotten to where he is throwing up every 10-15 minutes all day every day to the point we have had to withdraw him from school and begin online homeschooling. After undergoing some tests, my biggest concern was realized —that this constant state of throwing up is damaging his esophagus. The medication Dr. Billings put him on clearly has not helped him. If anything made it worse. But I was trying to be patient and give it time with hopes of his June follow up being a productive appointment and figure out another course of action. Then I get call from Dr. Billings office last week saying we need to schedule follow up. I said we already have one for June 10th that I’m looking at the card as we speak! They said they have no record of that appointment and now the earliest they can see my son is August! I tell them that’s unacceptable that my son is throwing up multiple times every day and the only thing I was hanging on to was that appointment in June. Nurse apologized said Dr. Billings had another drug to try and would get with his family doctor as this drug would require some changing of other medications that my son is on....nnToday, almost a week later, Doctor Billings office calls me and had the nerve to tell me to get with My son’s family doctor to prescribe this new medication! I was so upset and flabbergasted, I just hung up and called our Family Doctor crying. This is just unbelievable to me that a specialist would do this especially to a child patient!!!!! Unacceptable! What is the point of seeing a specialist if they are going to refer you to go back to family doctor?!?!? We are getting a new gastroenterologist.
