I recently purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier from Ridgeway Berry at Cook Chevrolet. Ridgeway and Tyre Anderson went out of their ways to make the process as smooth as possible. The owner, Jimmy Cook, made sure to introduce himself and thank me for my business. I've bought a LOT of cars over the years, and this was by far the best buying experience I've had. I'll definitely buy from them again!

I bought a Tahoe from Cooks. I was told the vehicle had been through an inspection and was problem free other than a blemish on the rear door. I was told that they would pay for this blemish if I went and took it to a shop to be fixed. After purchasing, I noticed the vehicle rode rough and didn’t recognize it during the test drive. The following day I found out the front struts were bad. I called and notified cooks to which they said that it shouldn’t have made it through inspection like that, go take it to a shop to get a quote and we’ll fix it. The quote was $1,558.50. They then denied fixing it. After arguing back and forth they decided to give $200 towards the repair. Either their mechanics have no clue what they’re doing, or they just don’t care about selling “inspected” vehicles that have problems. Typical dealer with lies and a run around. Save your frustration and buy elsewhere.

This morning (4/10/20) I spoke with a guy who I believe is named Ridgeway Berry about coming to look at a 35,000 dollar truck. I told him I was pre approved to buy it so there would be no issues getting the money. I’m from the Mobile area and told him that I had a 2.5 hour drive and wanted to make sure that he would hold it for me until I got there. He told me he would. He called me when I was 45 minutes away and informed me the truck was sold and the only thing he had to offer me was “I’m sorry”. I took off work and had a friend ride with me based on this guy’s word he gave to me. I waisted mine and a friend’s time, gas, and lost out on money from work because of this. In return I received an “I’m sorry.” I am putting this out there so others can avoid this issue if one of the salesmen tells them that they will hold a vehicle. I would hate for someone else to get this treatment. The bottom line is, if someone at a business gives you their word then they should hold up their end. This company did not do this today.
