Be sure to stop by the visitor's center and pick up an bag of information for Marfa and the surrounding area. The packet had some great information including beautiful pamphlets for one day trips from Marfa. The building itself was a USO building built to support the fort. I wish they had a map for a walking tour of Marfa.

Such a cool spot with a lady that knows everything about Marfa. Learn about the history, the legend and things to do.
Very knowledgeable and family friendly manager who took the time to answer all our questions and to suggest places of interest and routes (since this was a once-in-a-decade trip) to maximize our appreciation of this part of the LoneStar state.
Staff here is very helpful with a lot of great reading materials to plan your time in the area
