Since the new ownership took over gold's Gym, this Hester's crossing location has become quite the mess. Maintenance has seemed to have fallen by the wayside, as machines are broken, and stay broken for extended periods of time. The mask mandate is all but gone, and most of the members don't wear masks, and aren't particularly good about wiping down equipment. While I realize that employees can only do so much, it doesn't seem like anybody is focusing on cleanliness, and making sure equipment is wiped down or things are sanitized. For a gym that isn't particularly busy it wouldn't be so bad, but even late at night this location is packed with people. I've seen too many people wipe their nose, only to go and rub their snotty hands all over a barbell or a bench without wiping it down. I've been at gold's for nearly 5 years, and this change in management has made it overly clear that they don't care about their members safety, health, or the maintenance and upkeep of their facilities. At $20 a month more than the majority of other gyms, many of which are cleaner with newer equipment, it doesn't make any sense to stay at golds.

This gym is great. I previously went to 24 hr fitness prior to COVID. This location is especially clean and the staff are friendly. Kyle from the early morning crew was great when he helped me with an issue on my account. He was friendly and great. The gym atmosphere and the people working there are a part of why I keep coming back.nRecently lost my wireless headphones in the gym - Austin was GREAT and helped me find them. Love the staff!

I haven’t gone since covid. Every time I called to cancel I was on hold forever before even speaking to someone so I gave up. I finally went up to the location in person to cancel. They didn’t refund previous months(didn’t really expect anyways) and they had just recently taken the annual fee out of my account. Now I received an email that they will draft my another “last payment” at the end of this month?!? This is unacceptable!

Too many members are not wearing mask or wearing inappropriate and staff doing nothing. Around 1800 on Nov 16, about 8 people were not wearing mask. Members wear mask and management PLEASE ENFORCE. Let’s not get to relaxed, we don’t want the gym to close; COVID is serious! I don’t feel safe, will try another location in the area.

This is by far the worst gym I've ever signed up with. Their policies and 'contractual agreements' are completely misleading and amount to unfair trade practices.
