Place is a fraud. They have since filed for bankruptcy. No ever answered a phone call in 2 years. They cheat people out of the money and offer nothing.
So allow me to eat some crow here.....COMPLETE 180 degree turn around with this company. After a heart to heart talk with the administration of this company and finding out that it was partly our fault with the process of submitting for scholarships; I have been pleased. Yes people, this is a group effort, and if your students pull their weight, Benchmark will do the same. Melissa is nothing short of a wealth of knowledge to use as a resource.
Benchmark Company has helped my family the past 3 years receive free money that we would of never known about. I must say that my high school counselor was AWESOME, while I was in school. However, when I graduated and reality hit that I was about to enter College & I could no longer contact her; Benchmark was there to walk me and my family through each step. Not only was I able to receive what the College offered me but also and additional $7,000.00 in grant money per year thanks to Benchmark. We never could of imagined our family would ever qualify for any grant money! We are forever grateful for this company and their amazing staff!
Benchmark-company is dismissive upon seeing their candidates skin color and selectively choose whom they want to provide services too. We were dismissed before being given the information or the choice to get the service. Once I called corporate then you attempt to call and give me details by phone Laurie B. to attempt to schedule another time AFTER you've already dismissed us the 1st time! That is not how you do business.
What I have learned from Benchmark is you can't sign up for their services and expect a miracle to happen. You have to use their services. I have been helped with everything I have ever called about. Benchmark's information and help has been awesome. Although my daughter didn't apply for as many scholarships as she should have, Benchmark still did a great job and I am very happy!
