I find that in most cases people at pharmacies are impatient. I feel for them. I can’t imagine what they have to deal with from day to day. However, the folks that work at the Northgate and MacArthur Tom Thumb are pleasant and helpful. Unlike most other places in the area they will almost always give you a smile and small talk. It makes a difference and I appreciate their efforts.

Pretty good pharmacy in-person, but over the phone (even for your health care professional) forget it. Been going back and forth for a week now between a doctor’s office and this pharmacy. Care plan was discussed and agreed upon with doctor 12/16. It’s 12/23 and I’m empty-handed. Going out of town without these prescriptions.nnJust spent 5 hours in the dentist chair... got a phone call from the dentist’s office that good old Tom Thumb Pharmacy’s phone just goes to voicemail. Probably going out of town without that Rx either.nn12/23 is a normal business day last time I checked. This place isn’t staffed to handle it.

This is the most helpful pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Will never use another pharmacy as long as I live near this store.

two wasted trips to this pharmacy which it all started last Friday when I had called my Doctor’s office that I needed a prescription refill. They had send it off to the pharmacy here in Irving. By Tuesday I had heard NOTHING and decided to call the pharmacy and check the status. The person on the phone, and I know which employee, said that no prescription had been sent or found. I had to call back my doctor’s office and ask them to send another prescription refill, this time with urgency since I was down to my last pill. Next day which is today I had called and asked if the prescription was ready for pickup, the same person I had talked to on the phone the day before said yes and that I just needed to show my new insurance card. I get there and SURPRISE the prescription isn’t ready, and now it’s 100% co pay now. That’s fine for this go around. What is not fine is I had to wait 20-25 minutes for them to fill the prescription when they had told me it was ready for pickup. Since I was in the middle of work, I couldn’t wait and had to come back and get it. And that’s what I told the lady behind the counter. I come back hours later and AGAIN I have to wait for the prescription to be filled because the prior person in the day did not take care of it. Genesis told me there was two prescriptions...and asked which one I needed?! So they did receive the previous prescription! But this employee Genesis was more helpful and only had me wait 10 minutes this time because a different and more importantly HELPFUL person sensed my frustration of how poorly this had been handled by the prior day staff (Kudos to Genesis). The short one with the glasses, had been very unhelpful for the last two days!! And after wasting so much time at this pharmacy. Don’t think I want to come back and that’s that.
