What a wonderful find in the midst of the Texas Hill Country! Johnson City is rapidly becoming an artist’s haven, with lots of shops and galleries. Art Beat is one of those friendly, “come-on-in” galleries featuring works by Amy Harper and Brenda Thomas, along with other local artists. There are many mediums to choose from, including paintings, textiles and handmade jewelry. In addition, there are weekly hands-on classes, using some of these techniques. A must see if you’re in the area!

The gallery has LOTS of great art, jewelry and gift items at very reasonable prices. As a bonus, they also offer art classes. Don’t miss out if you’re in the Johnson City area.

Art Beat Studio & Gallery is a great shop and their items are very affordable!!! They have handmade jewelry, hand painted clothes, a great sampling of art by local artists, hand painted Christmas decorations, hand painted home decorations like tables and pillows, hand painted kitchen items such as tea boxes, cannisters, bread boxes and so much more. You can also custom order items you like in the colors you need to decorate with . They even have classes to teach you how to make some of the items in their gallery. Make sure to visit it when you are in Johnson City, Texas. You'll love it!!!

Johnson City is incredibly lucky to have Art Beat Studio & Gallery. Not only have I bought beautiful, quality pieces there, but it is pretty much my daughter’s “art institute.” The classes they give are high quality and thorough, with a variety of instructors. Classes are well suited for adults and mature young people.

Don't miss this gem of an art gallery in downtown Johnson City! They are the nicest folks, and they have art at any price point including paintings, jewelry, home decor items, unique greeting cards, etc. This is not a snooty place, and even my children love shopping here. I have bought several pieces for my home and also for teacher gifts, holiday gifts for friends and family, etc. They also do some really cool evening classes if you are a crafty person and want an artistic outlet. My favorite buys recently are a tea box with original art on the lid and a snazzy pair of dangly statement earrings.
