Movie was great and the concession staff was fine, but the guy who took our tickets was rude. He told us the wrong theater after not even looking our tickets, and then got really snooty about me telling him that I believed it was a different theater (mind you, we were seeing a movie at 1pm on a Monday, they weren't busy). He then cleaned our theater and was having a very inappropriate conversation over his head piece while we were still in there. Just very unprofessional and frankly an uncomfortable expereince.
I'm from San Diego and I see movies all the time. I've never paid $8 for a soda. I went to see the movie 1917 The seats were the old upright kind that don't recline or don't have any spring to them. There was a rip on the projection screen so we had to watch the whole freaking movie with a giant tear that stood out the whole movie long. Shining white light through the screen and from the back I don't know. I will not go back to that theater.
Decent place to watch movies. Seating is a bit old. Plenty of Hindi movies are screened here. Facilities are good.
Went and saw Briteburn. It was one of the few theaters still playing the movie. Grateful for that. The movie was very good. Service at the counter was very good. The only complaint that I have is that I got a large popcorn and asked for tons of butter all the way through. Thornton Place nails this. The helper, manager(?), that filled the popcorn brought it over to the cash register and I sensed something off. I asked her to put a little more on top please. She did. Glad she did because once I was in the theater eating it it was absolutely dry throughout. Very disappointing. Movie, theater, counter person, 5 stars. Popcorn service, 1 star out of 5. Overall 4 out of 5. For the price of popcorn you'd better get it right.
I wasn't pleased that I had to buy tickets at the concessions stand. They were too busy to sell tickets and I was concerned about getting into my movie before it started. When I got to my theater, it was clean and comfortable. However, there were people talking during the previews.
