Burien Library

A great place to just hang out and do nothing and watch and smell the homeless people in the new shelter, I heard this used to be a library where you could actually learn something....things gone wrong.nThe primary purpose of the public library is to provide resources and services in a variety of media to meet the needs of individuals and groups for education, information and personal development including recreation and leisure, not sleeping and smelling up a whole area.nAnd they have a quiet area????? The whole library should be a quiet area.

As a Burien local this is a review I felt I had to make. Do NOT go here unless you have to! If you are looking for a place to use the internet or just chill with friends, or even actually read books, go to Des Moines or another location that might be slightly farther away. Even White Center seems better from my one time going there.

Aside from the homeless people that sleep inside and occasionally follow you around, this is a great library. I love the upstairs area where you can reserve a study

This is a beautiful facility. It is not always the best place to study as people are loud.

KCLS is a great community resource. Well run, computer access, free document scanning and a great collection of reading, viewing and listening materials. Great staff and programming too. Sure, we have a homeless problem, which is bigger than libraries can take on. How much do you really want access limited and how is that going to fairly happen?
