I want to thank the police officers that came to my accident a week ago Friday. I was traveling 33 north taking a friend back home to kentucky after her sister had passed away earlier that morning . It was a hit and run . Thankfully it only done exterior damage to my truck . No one was hurt . They were very nice and made the incendent very comfortable. Thank you for your service to our county.

Congratulations for standing up against drugs. In Overton County there is very little interest in doing the right thing. So we have tonlive with it everyday.

It's clean, it's sorta fair (the judge is fair). Food is decent. I had to sleep on the concrete floor with just a super thin blanket , no mat what so ever. I had 2 towels. I ate my first meal which consisted of rice, with my fingers. Cold showers. Over crowded. I was put in a max cell with 3 other women, the 2 female pods had 19 women each and were extremely infested with head lice and ring worm. The guards didn't care about anything . I asked for a mat repeatedly. One guard asked me at 2am if I was ok and asked me why I wasn't sleepimg. I asked her what she expected me to sleep on. She didn't reply. They don't care as long as they are doing their jobs and getting paid.

Pray you never have to be there. My wife was attacked by her brother who was under the influence of meth, she broke free after being slammed, and choked. She ran to the house with him following, screaming he was going to kill her. She gets in the house, gets our LEGAL .380 pistol, fires in the air to scare him away. Police arrive, and her brother scratched his face, so they take my wife to jail, even though her other brother witnessed the event. They take my gun, and charge her for endangerment because she fired in the air. They keep her there for 4 days, causing her to lose her job. When I bring items for her like pillows ect. they will not let her have them. They give me a massive list of things that must be bought brand new, like pillows, sheets, soap, etc. The list comes to around 200 bucks, what in the hell is our tax dollars buying? Anyway after the charges are finally dismissed, only because a family friend knew the Judge and begged him to see reason, she gets home without a job, and without my gun that my dad gave me, and was the only thing of his I had. So I start calling to get my gun back, being its LEGAL, and all charges were dropped. I call for 3 weeks before I finally give up, I'm never getting my legal, registered gun back, because my wife used it to save her life. Story does not end there, 3 times Police have been at my door asking about some punk that lives up above us, wanting to know if we have him in our house. So I call the Police department, give them the guys address, and ask them to please stop coming to our address. Well about 2 weeks ago I notice someone peaking thru my kitchen window, that's at the rear of the house. You have to crawl over a 5' high CMU retaining wall to get back there. Then once they notice I see them, they start banging on my rear door. Yep, Claiborne County Police department once again. He starts asking me where that dude is again, this being the fourth time. He is nice and smiling, but keeps peaking in, asking me my name, if I have guns. Then I lean out and look to his left and there is two other Police officers, one with a shotgun up on his shoulder ready to fire, and one with his pistol drawn. After I convince him I'm not the guy, or that I'm not hiding this guy I have never met, they leave. The moral of the story is that if you use your legal gun on an attacker, shot them, not in the air, or ground, and make sure its a cheap gun because you will not get it back.
