I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Robin Moreland / Moreland's Puppy Palace / Dusty Duck. We put down a $400 deposit for a yellow lab puppy and she sent us an invoice/contract. For many weeks, Robin sent my family photos and videos of our puppy, as well as texts and Facebook messages about shipping her to us on May 18th. As the date approached, Robin began to make excuses as to why the dog hadn't been shipped to us yet. After two weeks, she finally claimed to have dropped the dog off to be shipped and that the transporters would contact us in a day or so. When no one ever contacted us, we reached back out to her to find out the status of the dog. She claimed that they were having delays and that's all she knew and that she thought it would be best to cancel the dog with all the worry. Then she blocked me and my husband from being able to reach her by phone or text. I finally reached her using another phone and she continued to lie to us some more. She claimed all her other 11 pups had been picked up. I confirmed this was a lie and another person confirmed she never got her deposit back. I offered to fly to Oklahoma to pick up the puppy and resolve the only 'issue’ she claimed to have and she still refused to give me the dog. She did refund my deposit, but we didn't want our money back, we wanted the puppy we had been patiently waiting for. I would not trust this woman or her character. She lied and manipulated the situation and left us heartbroken.
