Smart Mouth Family Dental (Bowie, Texas)

I normally don't post negative reviews and am quite patient and tolerant. Not this time. From oxygen tanks leaking so that the gas I was promised, to not disclosing the office location was closing, and I would have to travel an hour away to complete my procedure to the worst of all...(I will explain,) I will never go back there or recommend. After my crowns finally arrived, I came in, the dentist gave me three or four injections to numb me, and then realized he hadn't checked the crowns. They were VERY wrong and I was numbed for nothing! The crowns had to be sent back, and that is when I was told the office was closing, surprise, I would have to come to another location an hour away whenever the new ones came in. Several weeks later, with cracked and yellowed temporary crowns, my new ones came in. I was seated, my blood pressure wasn't taken and a bib was not placed around me for the water and spit to drip down onto my clothes. The dentist seemed quite rushed as well. When I got home and the numbness wore off, I was in a lot of pain and couldn't eat or chew anything. Why? because he never used the tapping on blue paper technique to see if my teeth would meet each other. They did not. In fact one of the crowns hitting a lower tooth and stopped every single tooth in my mouth from meeting. That constant hitting one tooth on the lower tooth became extremely painful. I called first thing in the morning to find the dentist was on a plane headed out of town and I would have to wait until Monday! I found a very helpful dentist locally that took me in. He was shocked at the poor condition I was left in by the previous dentist. It took quite a long time, several tapping on the paper and shaping the new crowns for my teeth to finally close properly. He refused payment as he felt so sorry for me and commented about how troubling it was that there were dental practices like SmartMouth.
