The first week my child attended the school, a classmate had allegedly brought a knife to school. The parents were notified by a small note sent home in a backpack. The atmosphere of the school is very depressing. While I do not want to coddle or shelter my child, I can't help but feel sorry that she has to attend here.nWhat is perhaps the most upsetting, is the standard and expectation of the school uniform policy. My grievance is not with the uniform, I think that itself may benefit some children. What I am upset about is the fact that the faculty and staff wear whatever they would like. As leaders of our children, it is their duty to lead as examples. To require a uniform of the children, and not abide by it yourself, is hypocrisy at best.
