Beautiful events venue, and the store is fantastic for getting everything from grass-fed meats to organic milk and other niche food and drink items. Wife and I recently attended one of their events with live music and food trucks, made for a wonderful weekend evening at a gorgeous location. Highly recommend visiting if you haven't already!

I shot a wedding at the Summerfield Farm Venue in November and It was absolutely stunning. There were so many expansive and beautiful parts of the property, I didn't even have time to see them all. I loved the operate cabin and cottage from the groomsmen and the bridal party. Also the rooftop terrace at the barn is out of this world. If you were thinking about getting married here DO IT!

We love getting grass fed meats here along with other items like Fermentology kimchi - yum! They have fun events here as well - a few years back we attended a murder mystery dinner here that was fun. Beautiful grounds and love when they have food trucks and you can just bring your own lawn chair and just relax and enjoy brews and good food.

Such a beautiful place to get away and unplug from the world. The hustle and bustle grows dim in the presence of Butterfield Farms. It can become what you need, and suprisingly what you never expected. Peaceful, serene, and quiet.

Wanted to get out on Easter weekend Saturday and wanted to explore so I went on the Google machine and saw something about live music at this 'working farm'. I expected a couple farm animals and a barn and a beach bar Willie singing some lame covers.nWhat I found was truly 180 degrees from that. You pull in and see this beautiful market next to this picturesque barn. The market is full of their meats (one of only eight certified grass raised beef farms in NC according to the employee @ the market), Camino Bakery baked goods, the Goat Cheese lady, Ashe County cheese and numerous other craft, quality vendors that I recognized and many that I did not. Even the porta potty bathrooms are first class. They have this trailer with 3 bathrooms that are heated with sinks. The area behind the market is a beautiful area spotted with plastic Adirondack chairs, fire pits, end tables. They have their own truck that serves beverages and some snacks. Craft beer, unique/clever craft cocktails, spiked and unspiked hot chocolate and my travel partner got a hibiscus cardamom Lemonade that was prepared in a cocktail shaker by a young lady that obviously knew what she was doing. My travel partner enjoyed and she said it was unlike any lemonade she had ever had. I went with 'Breakfast Stout' by Founders out of Michigan. I loved it. Apparently brewed using a couple types of coffee and oats. My travel partner got cold so we only stayed for the one drink but I could see staying all day. There were quite a few families with young kids and young couples that seemed to be there for the day. I can understand why. They have events (weddings, parties etc) and they had one going on. I only saw the market and the performance area. The place is big. I hope to come back soon and see more. The fellow singing and playing guitar and BANJO was quite good. I wish I knew his name and tried to find but could not find on their various social media pages the next day. No outside food and beverage allowed.
