Not sure where the bad reviews come from, but this is my new lunch place every day. The lunch boxes are big and hearty, the Shanghai meatballs and sweet/sour pork ribs are tender and juicy, and this place makes INSANE desserts, the egg tarts and rice cakes are mind blowing. The white rice is good, the only thing I didn't love was the duck, mostly because of the way it was cut.nnThe ladies that run it are very sweet, accidentally made me two boxes and when I said I'd just pay for it anyways for dinner, they insisted on half price.nnFor nine bucks, try the meatball or rib box. They're super solid, filling, reasonably healthy, and since it's a hot deli, ready immediately. This isn't a restaurant, it's a deli, everything is fresh but not cooked to order.nnThey also have the highest possible rating from the health board.
First and last time there. Portion was meager. Lots of rice and very little meat. Fountain drinks was water down, can't even taste the sweetness. Price was OK if they gave me what I paid for. Sorry never again. Safeway Chinese food is a better deal compare to this place.
The hot and sour soup, as well as the marinated chicken feet were straight garbage. The soup was just sweet as a mouthful of sugar, i had to add mountains of salt just to make it even slightly eatable. Overall just straight trash.
