Dr Lynette Posorske is one the Washington DC metro area's pioneering physicians in the treatment of infectious diseases.nnShe has three decades of experience in treating HIV and other infectious diseases. Dr. Posorske is a medical vanguard and advocate who continues to combine her experience as a practitioner and researcher to advance a better understanding of HIV and champion more effective cutting edge treatments for the disease with the ultimate goal of realizing a cure.nnDr Posorske's tireless and compassionate efforts span the early 1990s when few HIV physicians existed, the arsenal of HIV treatment regimens were meager and the prognoses for survival were often dire.nnYet, her tireless and innovative intervention methods resulted in many lives being saved as pressure increased on FDA and NIH to increase clinical trials and release a cocktail of HIV drugs, including Protease Inhibitors to stem the overwhelming mortality rates in the 1990's from the disease and its opportunistic infections.nnThanks to the untiring charter efforts of HIV physicians such as Dr Posorske, and the medical staff at Montgomery Infectious Disease Associates, patients are no longer medicallynavoided and shunned, but treated with dignity and given a renewed sense of hope.nnDr Wilbert Wilson Jr

Dr. Posorske is knowledgeable about COVID-19 and requested blood work that provided additional indicators of the severity and range of effects such as auto-immune problems. She takes the time to review the results and provide comments before the meeting and is prepared for the virtual telemedicine visits.nnI like that I can discuss the supplements I am using with her to get feedback. I feel like I learn something new from each appointment.nnShe has also been accessible for questions through the doctor's portal messaging system which I appreciate to be able to ask questions without an appointment.nnI have recommended her to my best friend's relative.

Dr. Schaffer is the best doctor! She really listens to you and is there to help to find a solution to your problem! The front desk people are nice too. I highly recommend this practice!!
