I went into the Market Basket location in Lake Charles on Nelson Road specifically for their boudin and sausage from the smokehouse. I love the smoked flavor of the products so I always go there but today I was met by an extremely nice and helpful gentleman working in the meat department by the name of Loren. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful while selecting my meats and remembered my order how I said it on the first try. I don't usually write reviews but his positive attitude and helpfulness led me to pay it back. I highly recommend these folks for your meat needs!

I live in Florida and visited MB on Nelson Rd. for the 1st time Mother's Day weekend (3 months ago). Because of the Coronavirus, there were limits on how much sausage and Boudin you could purchase. After 3 days in Lake Charles, we were able to leave with a little stash of the best Boudin I've ever eaten. I'm coming back in 2 weeks. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially during this pandemic. I've spoken on the phone with Jessica twice and she's just a ray of sunshine. I can't wait till I go back.

Great experience every visit! Probably my favorite Market Basket at which to shop. They have some of the best smoked meats and boudin in our area. People are always helpful and they are usually stocked with the essentials living in the Lake Area. Nelson Rd. Market Basket comes highly recommended.

Mr. Loren in the butcher dept is one cool dude, great attitude and willing to assist in finding anything you can't find. You can truly tell he is a valuable part of the establishment, no doubt. Thanks for your help Loren.

Had a horrible experience this morning. There was only one...one...cashier available to ring up all of the customers. The store mgr. called a particular cashier to open lane no. 3..the employee never responded. There was staff stocking and evidently are not trained to cashiernThis is clearly poor management to me concerning scheduling employees. Customers were angry and frustrated...get it together!
