This used to be the premiere grocery store in South lake Charles. Since Kroger moved into the area though, this grocery store has taken a step back. It isn't a bad grocery store at all, it just doesn't offer as much as the Kroger store in the area. There is also a heavy competition from a new Rouses in the area. The best thing about this Albertsons is that it tends to have less traffic than any of the other grocery stores in the area. Prices can be high, but keep an eye out for good sales. The staff is friendly for the most part and it's easy to find what you need in this store.
I personally love the store first communion was the jalapeno bread, it's out of this world after you slice it yourself and toast it. The quality of the food is top-notch. The price is more than reasonable and cheaper than most other places especially considering the quality. I highly recommend the store. And I'm sure if you shop there you'll find something you love about it too.
Love the fresh produce. Love the pharmacists: Dr. Keith and Dr. Carla. They are superb in every way. Always professional, calm, and kind. I trust them with my life!
Always fresh produce. Great meat and seafood selections. Shelves are always fully stocked and easy to maneuver around the store.
