Delicious food and the service was awesome! I haven't been there in years but wasn't disappointed. We even toured the Inn attached and the rooms are clean, gorgeous and wished we could've stayed the night! Definitely going back!
Delicious, home style cooking in a lovely atmosphere. Appropriately distanced tables. Nice big portions! Honestly, the best fried chicken I've ever had. We'll go back!
I have enjoyed eating The Smith House's wonderful good 'ole Southern cooking with fresh vegetables since I was a little boy coming to Dahlonega with my parents & grandparents. But it is even better since you can now take your leftovers home to enjoy later, because they give you so much food that you can't possibly eat it all in one sitting! ud83dude0b
Great fried chicken. We were in a group of 11. Immediately were served bread and cinnamon rolls. Drink orders came quickly and so did the mountains of food. All they had for desert was strawberry shortcake though. Maybe could have a choice of something else? If you want good southern home style food, The Smith House is the place to go. Very clean dining area, restrooms and even a small store.
My room was very nice. A king size bed and several chairs for company. Plenty of towels and washcloths. A note stated room had been covid cleaned. I was very happy with my room.
