PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!!! I moved from Baltimore to Miami and needless to say I no longer have any of my valuables! This company is a total rip off! Initially they quoted me a price. When they came to pick up my items, the price doubled! They under quote you in order to have you thinking they are giving you the best value for your money. Because I had already did the deposit I agreed. They assured me that they would deliver it by a certain date because I was leaving out of town for work and since I live alone and none of my family lives down here, they would make sure they got it to me by a specified date. They took longer than the timeframe they assured me by and to top it all off, they called me stating they were charging an additional fee because they google mapped my address and couldn't get the truck down my block. I advised them that they could and that trucks come down my block on a regular basis! The date that they finally provided me with, I would be gone for over a month and would not be able to have someone to let them in. They placed my items in storage and never told me where they were. I hired a lawyer and they called the company. The supervisor stated that they did not see me in the system and they have no record of me. A month later, I received a text message stating that I had to pay the storage fee otherwise, my belongings would be auctioned off. I lost EVERYTHING! I had to completely start over. I lost over $10k in items and things that could never be replaced! My best advise for you is to go with a more reputable company. You may pay more, but you won't run the risk of losing all of your things!

I have never in my life dealt with a worse company.nIf you read these reviews (other than the occasional 5 star written by their family members or employees)nand still use Spirit Van Lines... you’re asking for a big headache.nOur goods were extremely carefully packed by my wife and yet when we received 115 boxes and furniture out of 152 pieces picked up, many were damaged, open, and torn. Some of the best furniture and TV never showed up and what was delivered was seriously damaged.nIn response by the company to my email detailing our lost merchandise and damaged furniture the customer rep acknowledged receipt but offered no solution or follow up.nThere should be a federal lawsuit filed to protect consumers from this company. Trafficking interstate with large amounts of goods stolen or lost. Is there no punishment for them or recourse for people who “trusted them to deliver?”nWe are pursuing matters through our insurance company and police department.nOf course, their customer service ( or should I say lack of customer service) extends from the phone people who don’t return calls or seem able to tell you where your goods are to the drivers who don’t know anything but are in a hurry to get their next load off without placing the goods where they belong.nGovernmental authorities should get involved. That’s my goal

It’s been a total nightmare from day one with Spirit Van Lines!n1. They charged me 1k more than the previously agreed price after they loaded up my furnituren2. Pickup day was one day later than the given timelinen3. Lost one box full of valuables and sentimental itemsn4. Three months worth of back and forth to file settlementn5. Eight months since the moving day, they still have not reimbursed me.nAt this point I’ve given up on that box they lost. I’ve called them 15-20 times in the past month regarding the settlement ($72, which is a total joke). They either say the accountant isn’t there or they will look into it and will return my call. Of course they never did. This afternoon they told me that my case was closed and that the settlement was unavailable and hung up on me! This is the most unprofessional, rude and dishonest group of people I’ve encountered. I’d love to know how they stay in business. Please, if you’re considering using them, talk to me first. I’d happily supply you with more details and convince you to run away from them. No one should ever go through what I’ve had to.

I had to file a claim at last and settlement was $70 which is a joke. My recent move from Virginia to Colorado, had my head spinning with stress. Spirit Vanlines made everything seem to level out. The movers sent to do my pickup, Mike and Sam, were amazing. They were fast, precise, and super professional with their work. Throughout the moving process the customer service team at Spirit guided me through and helped me understand everything my move consisted of. I really appreciated their patience with me. I just received my items, and the delivery movers were just as great as the pickup movers. I am glad to know that I have this moving company to call with any future move that I have.
