South 85 Liquor Store

This is the most unprofessional group of employees I have ever encountered. Maria the manager acts as if they are all cousins or owners as they talk to people very disrespectfully. I wanted to make a written complaint about one of the employees but the manager would not allow it. My experience was I was asked to go by there to pick up an item but could not remember the name of the product. I knew I could point it out but the young lady serving me obviously did not know her right from her left. She quickly became frustrated and started shaking her head in disgust. The manager who was at the next register lied about hearing the entire conversation. I asked her why was she so impatient nobody was in the store waiting. She told me that it was her head and she could shake it if she liked. I do understand the level of education many clerks have so I began to back off but not before telling her there were no need for an attitude. She then said you have not seen an attitude- I can show you an attitude - no one is going to stop me from shaking my head. I immediately felt threatened because I did not know if that was the end of it or if she was about to go off and take it to the next level. Although the manager obviously unskilled thought there were nothing wrong with how she handled the situation. But I am sure the owners would be concerned. One thing for sure I will never again go to this place again in life. Both handled the situation as if they had been sampling the merchandise. When the owners are on site those employees are very accommodating but catch them without someone modeling how they should behave and it becomes a scary situation. My advice be very careful and don’t expect any managerial skills from any of those females. They can be outright nasty.

Selection is limited for me specifically but I'm not a regular here. I am sure the manager stocks what sells best in this are. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great small store that is family friendly and have my favorite drink in stock and they have a real cool guy who provides security to make sure that everyone is safe and makes sure they have masks which is a big deal and some people don’t believe in COVID

WAY OVER PRICED, my wife went in there to grab a bottle for me, not knowing the price, and I checked the amount she paid, turns out it was double the amount every liquor store charges. When I spoke to the manager she refused to refund the money. This establishment not only ripped my wife off but showed no concern and ZERO customer service. If you have double the amount to spend on alcohol then this is your place, I wouldn’t recommend anybody go to this liquor store, horrible experience and I didn’t even step foot in the store
