Always pleasant and helpful people to talk with when we call. Good to have them available and advise when shops and restaurants are opening back up for the season.

Chamber director John Solomon has created one of the best avenues providing visitor information in the area. From Airboat Excursions to Tideline Charters this is a destination for information. Mr Solomon also arranges and promotes numerous events every month leading up to the oldest and best seafood festival in Florida. The annual Florida Seafood Festival has been a favorite for over half a century.

THE BEACH WAS WONDERFUL . BUT DURING AN EMERGENCY A FIRE CHIEF EMERGENCY VEHICLE CAME RIGHT DOWN ON THE BEACH . AS I SPOKE TO HIM AND INFORMED HIM I AM A FLORIDA PARAMEDIC AND CAN HELP HE SPOKE AND AT THAT POINT I NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF AN INTOXICATING BEVERAGE ( BEER OR LIQUOR) HE MANED A WAVE RUNNER AND SPED OFF .AND IN MY OPINION INTOXICATED

Not welcoming. Disappointing compared to the former center. No rest rooms.

This is my first trip to St. George Island. The East end State Park is mentioned, however there is no mention of The Plantation and that is private area that takes up the West End of the island and looking at a map about half the island. This should be mention or if not then access to the West of the Island is restricted do to The Plantation being a private gated community.
