Let me preface this by saying that I was a client of Pilc & Moseley for several years until my family relocated to North Carolina in 2016. While they were always top notch and did a great job for me while I was in Richmond, it's a more recent interaction that's led me to write this review.nnMy mom passed away in 2018. As executor of her small estate, I received awful counsel from a local accounting firm here in NC regarding tax planning for 2019. When it came time to prepare that return, I realized they had no idea how to properly file. They made inappropriate suggestions regarding income reporting and return preparation.nnI called Ellen at Pilc & Moseley for a second opinion and she quickly came up to speed on the situation, recommended a path forward, and offered to take over tax preparation. I can't thank the folks at Pilc & Moseley enough for taking a stressful situation and making it easy!

Bill Pilc and his team are true professionals. You'll gain a sense of trust and confidence in their practice from the moment you begin working with them. If you are a small business or freelancer - regardless of your size - you need a CPA (maybe even more than a lawyer, depending on your line of work!). Their pricing is quite reasonable, and balanced out by the fact that they know the tax code and deductions you can take. Highly recommended.
