As others have stated, Access is the third owner since Save A File. With each transfer, there have been price increases, new fees upon new fees with little to no customer service. They will charge you a fee is you call them for service that you pay for. Fuel surcharges that stuck years after fuel prices normalized. Technology fees, what is that anyway. You get my point. If you give them your records, you have submitted to a hostage situation.
In a word, intolerable. Access bought Retrievex, which had previously purchased Save-a-File of Manassas, VA, where my firm had established an account more than 20 years ago. Each merger resulted in a complete mix-up of the accounting files, and Access has yet to straighten out it accounting department. Bills are sent without dates of service; payments are not recorded; multiple bills for the same service appear, and phone calls are directed to California or Boston. I finally gave up and closed my account. If you lack the time to argue over every statement, avoid Access.
