Coastal Pediatric Dental & Anesthesia

This place is amazing! I took my three children to Coastal because we had such a terrible experience at another dental office. The atmosphere here is astonishing. My kids were taken care of diligently, with a smile and friendly demeanor the entire time. My 3yr old was nervous but the staff had done a great job at keeping him calm enough to check his teeth. The best part about the visit was the communication. They took their time to break down technical dental terminology into layman's terms. The staff, dentists and anesthesiologist here are phenomenal!

We are very happy with our experience here! We followed Dr. Reynolds from LWSS also and everything about dealing with Coastal Pediatric has been so much easier and a much more pleasant experience. The office is clean and organized. All of the staff is wonderful, so kind and welcoming. The hygienists who helped us did a great job. They even swapped my kids appt times because they could see my younger daughter was very nervous for her first time at the dentist, so they wanted her to see her big sister go first. And when it was her turn, Dr. Reynolds and the hygienist worked as a team to calm the younger one down so her experience was a great one! Thank you so much for a great visit!

This practice is FANTASTIC!! The office is welcoming, bright and SPOTLESS! Which is great with Covid. My daughter was seen for a cleaning and what I felt maybe a cavity. She is an anxious patient and has had the same dentist since 4 years old. I was nervous as this practice was new to both of us. Caitlin at the front desk was wonderful from getting us an appointment, explaining everything as a new patient, to checking us out today and scheduling her next cleaning. Elle was her dental hygienist so sweet and great with her. She told me if she needed me she would come get me. It was not needed. DR. REYNOLDS was PHENOMENAL! She explained everything to her so kid friendly and to me. No cavity just staining from recent braces. She did have a stubborn baby tooth extracted by Dr. Reynolds and I was able to sit in while it was done. Everything was explained to her and shown to her, she made her laugh when she got anxious, took her time and was so patient. Her assistant was so sweet too! I know this is long but worth the read and piece of mind. I will be recommending this practice to everyone. I only wish they went past 12 years old and took anxious adults tooud83eudd2a. You can not go wrong. All the children coming through the door were smiling! This was a great sign too.

My two boys recently had their first visit at this office. One of my sons, this was his first trip to the dentist. The kids loved it! Every staff member we encountered was excellent. They made the kids feel comfortable and safe. Doctor Sachs is the main reason we switched to this office, but we really like the entire set up.Everything was clean and sanitary. From the person at the front desk to all the staff in the back, this was over all just a really pleasant experience. Expectations were exceeded!

Update 3/11/21:nnWe just had our 6 month cleaning (2nd appointment) and I seriously could not be happier. I did the pep talk with my son on the way to the office as usual. He literally walked in, sat in the chair with no resistance, laughed and talked with the hygienist and allowed her to not only clean his teeth but also take X-rays! I know this may not seem like much, but this is HUGE for him! I just can’t believe that with only 1 previous interaction with Dr. Reynolds and their hygienists my son completely trusts them with his teeth. You have no idea how far he has come and I couldn’t be more grateful for their patience and expertise in working with children with special needs. Upon arrival the front office noticed I was anxious and they were able to put me at ease.nnMy son was seen 3 1/2 years ago at another (big name) Pediatric dentist and had A LOT of work done at the age of 4 and it was a very traumatic experience for him (and myself). I have taken him to other dentists since then but he would not even allow them to put a mirror in his mouth to just look at his teeth let alone get a cleaning.nnFast forward to today and my son (now 8) has extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. It started out like all the other visits and he refused to open his mouth and was extremely anxious and untrusting. Dr. Reynolds came in and was able to quickly gain his trust. She was able to ease his anxieties and he allowed her to not only look at his teeth but use the pick, floss him, AND (drum roll) clean his teeth!! She immediately recognized his anxiousness and was able to build trust with him. She showed him step by step what she was going to do and walked him through the process in a “fun” way that allowed him to trust her. She recommended waiting on xrays until the next visit because she didn’t want to overwhelm him doing everything at once. She truly understands how to approach children and cater to their special needs.nnI cannot wait for his next appointment to see how much more progress she can make with him. I can not recommend this practice enough.
