In 2017 I had a Maryland bridge very poorly done by Dr. Sheta. Dr. Sheta no longer works at this practice, but I’ve also dealt with the new dentist and staff here. Shortly after having the bridge put in, it became loose and I had to go back and have Dr. Sheta cement it back. Then about a year or two after that incident I went again because the tooth was loose again. This time it’s the new dentist, Dr. Boyd. He clearly sees the bridge was installed properly but cemented the back on and let me know if it became loose again we would have to go a more permanent route, but to let them know if/when that happens. Well fast forward to today, my bridge has completely fallen out. I call them, the receptionist acts as if it will be very difficult to get my emergency in today, but I can’t just walk around without a front tooth. She then speaks with the dentist to try to get me in after I push her a little to do so. When they call me back they give me a $4000 estimate to fix the problem. I understand it is no longer the same dentists practice, but they couldn’t even provide me with where that dentist is at now. They also didn’t offer me any kind of discount or anything helpful at all for that matter. All had to be upfront if I wanted it done. You all bought this practice and if you can’t at least point me to the person who did this and used to own the practice, then you need to take some kind of responsibility. When I came back and dr Boyd recemented my bridge he made it seem as if I would easily be able to come back and have this problem addressed, but that’s clearly not the case from what I experienced today. After getting the atrocious estimate I called another dentist to take me in and called east beach back for license numbers and names. The receptionist was totally okay with giving me Dr Shetas license but when I asked for Dr Boyd’s her tone completely changed and she said “what do you need that for he didn’t do anything wrong?” Well it’s public information, and he now owns the practice that costs me thousands and messed up teeth, so yes I need his license as well.

I just had the unfortunate need to have a tooth extracted and Dr. Boyd at East Beach Smiles and Team made it painless and as un-eventful as possible. Impressive all around. Modern offices, new equipment, and great chair side manner. Dr. Boyd talked me through each step he was taking and what I would be feeling. I would highly recommend Dr. Boyd and this practice for new patients.

If I could give them a zero, I would. I went in there on a Wednesday because I had an infected tooth and was in very bad pain. They made sure my insurance covered it, then pulled the tooth. I asked about antibiotics and something for the pain and the dentist just walked out of the room. I was numb from the novocaine but when it wore off I was in excruciating pain and drove back to the dentist. I was on the phone with crystal and she was short tempered with me because I was crying so hard from the pain and she told me to take ibuprofen. I went in and they numbed it again. I went home, took ibuprofen and tylenol and was still in excruciating pain. I was afraid to call back because of the way I was treated by crystal earlier. Thursday came. I'm sobbing from the pain and my face begins to swell. It was too late to call them they were closed. Friday came the pain was all through my face, my head, my ear and lower jaw. My face was swollen the size of a football, was bright red and bruised down to my neck and hot to the touch. It was after 1 pm so they were closed again. I was advised by a nurse to immediately go to the ER. They got me in right away and put me on IVs and gave me a CT scan. The ER doctor voiced that he was concerned as to why the dentist didnt give me antibiotics either prior to the tooth being pulled or after it was pulled. The infection had spread to the whole left side of my face and it was serious. They gave me antibiotics and told me to let the dentist know what happened. They were closed for the weekend and Monday so I left a message. They have not returned my call or even checked to see if I'm ok. They dont care about their clients.

Just returned to the states after 16 years and have nothing but good things to say about the receptionists, dentists, and all around service! They are very friendly and informative. Would recommend to anyone. Most painless care I’ve ever received!

I had my teeth cleaned with Jamie yesterday and it had been about three years. She took xrays and gave me her opinion on what kind of cleaning I should get and then did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I felt so much better when I was done, she has very gentle hands was so attentive the whole appointment!
