Larchmont United Methodist Church

I attend the 945 service and it is always so nice. The environment as well as the people are inviting and welcoming. You will be greeting and treated as if they've known you for years. They have heavenly grounds with snacks and coffee for everyone every week

I’ve never been to church here but I attend the Larchmont/Edgewater Civic League meetings here. They have an awesome meeting space and are always excellent hosts. We are happy to have them located in the neighborhood. They also have one of the best pumpkin patches around!

I grew up here, I'm so thankful for this church family.

My husband and I recently moved to Norfolk and began attending Larchmont United Methodist Church. We attended all three different style services before choosing the one that best fit us. The 8:45 service is in the back corner chapel. It is a lovely, bright intimate environment. The music is more transitional. The 9:45 service is held in a newly renovated section of the church that resembles a coffee house and coffee is provided. It has a more relaxed and casual atmosphere with round tables for individuals and families to sit around. This is the contemporary service. The 11:00 service is the traditional one with an outstanding choir. It is held in the main section of the beautiful church. In addition to the church services, there are Sunday School classes and various men's and women's groups in which to connect.nnWhat we found most appealing at Larchmont UMC are the people. They are warm and inviting. The Pastors are kind and thought provoking. Also, the church is involved in a large array of local missions; it is a church that makes a difference in the community. I have also been struck with the involvement of children being a part of the traditional service as scripture readers or individuals leading the congregation in the Lord's prayer. It is very endearing. We recently attending the Youth service and were amazed at their talent and devotion.nnSo if you are looking for a church to worship God, connect with others as well as opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ, I'd recommend you give Larchmont United Methodist a try. It is a wonderful church.

Great community of Christians with a strong focus on outreach. Three different services on Sunday offer something for everyone.
