Wow..I don't even know where to start. Long story short. Looked to purchase a Honda Accord. During the entire process I didn't get a good feeling. Staff seemed overwhelmed and very unorganized. The poor lady doing my paperwork had to reprint my paperwork 3 times because she had the vin numbers and mileage wrong. Brian was screaming at her and being unprofessional in front of customers. I felt so bad for her. I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown. Again I didn't get a good feeling as I waited to get my paperwork done..so I asked for the car fax report and discovered that the car had a flood title and possible water damage, I questioned if i would be able to get a refund or the car repaired at the very least.. Brian totally lost his temper and got very unprofessional, and said forget it, and canceled the sale. He got upset when I started to ask questions. Thanking the man upstairs that I did not buy this vehicle. Looks like I actually dodged a bullet! I have no intentions of ever doing business with this establishment. The lack of respect and professionalism was it for me..BUYERS BEWARE!

Recently brought a Lexus es300 now he told me as is and I did a test drive and it drove good I asked him was things like oil changed and other stuff like that he tells me yes but there was only 2 quarts of oil in it!! I just changed the oil and there’s hardly any transmission fluid!! They said it was a little over 102,000 miles on it but actually it is over 142,000!! I noticed on most reviews he tells ppl they basically are lying but multiple people are not going to lie.. I changed my own oil and will do transmission.. I’m not going to say don’t go shop here just make sure you really look before you purchase!

Overcharged, took money and ran. No support. Stay away. Does not return calls. Says secretary out sick. Saw here on lot 30 min later??????? Why you not call. It is true

This place is the worst place you can buy your car from. We bought our first car from here, a 2007 Honda CR-V and about 2 weeks later the AC was blowing out HOT air in the middle of 98 degree weather. The tire pressure light went on a week after driving it. The light in the back is broken and they told us we had to fix it ourselves. We bought our car in June 2020 and it is now November 2020 and STILL NO PLATES! When we went to pick up our plates the lady told us she couldn’t find them and gave us another set of temporary plates. Oh and let’s not forget the owner trying to bribe my husband to give him a good review. “If you give us a good review we’ll give you 3 oil changes for free or fix your bumper for half the price” Well sorry not sorry but we can’t be bought. Can’t wait to get our plates so we can be rid of this place for good. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES!

As a repeat customer at Marlin Motors, I have only good things to say.nnI am active duty military, so I often get moved around and need to buy / trade a vehicle in a short timeframe. I purchased a 2005 RSX Type S from Marlin Motors a few months ago, it’s been a very sharp looking and reliable vehicle thus far. I got it a very good price as well, as this particular model of car is starting to get kind of rare and hard to find. But I managed to get one in excellent condition with a fresh paint job.nnWhen I came onto the lot, the RSX caught my eye the most, but honestly the lot is very diverse with really good value vehicles. They seem to specialize in older but still strong running vehicles, I particularly noticed a lot of nice Honda’s and Toyota’s. The salespeople are friendly, knowledgeable and competent and wouldn’t mind letting you test drive every vehicle on the lot until you find the right one (speaking from experience). Owner Jeff is always reasonable in negotiations and offers fair values for trade ins / cash value if you have a car to sell (I traded in my Honda Element). I can also speak to the quality of the vehicles repairs / services they provide, , I had an A/C compressor replaced and installed for less than $500, which was less than expected and the A/C still works great.nnI always prefer small, locally owned used car dealerships, and I’m relatively new to the area, but Marlin Motors has earned my business and I’ll recommend them to my friends for as long as I’m stationed in Hampton Roads.
