The staff is beyond awesome! I need encouragement and I sure found it there! Ashley and Jeanne have been a life saver with the encouragement and Jeff has been so so helpful with membership issues....I love the West Point Y staff!nnPs I see below that K Johnson review was about how small it was and no pool....well I just left a large Y with a pool 10 mintues closer to my house because the staff at West Point was so awesome....the size of the place has nothing to do with me getting to my goals and WP staff cares about that..the large Y did not...just my experience

Terrible gym. Staff is super nice and very helpful but the gym and business model itself is disgusting. They charge an astronomical fee on membership for 1 small room of gym equipment. Only one flat bench, one Smith machine and missing alot of cable accessories. If they weren't 2 blocks from my house there's no way I'd ever consider joining here when there's better gyms priced at half of what they charge with a full line of equipment. Not to mention they look for any reason possible to close. Today for instance is new years and they're closed. Guess what? They were also closed yesterday for new years EVE and I had to drive 30 mins to another gym who actually cares about being open and pay for a day pass.

The West Point YMCA has taken abundance caution after re-opening. The staff is wonderful and the cleanliness and additional cleanings are superb! I especially like the new setup for cardio workouts while practicing social distancing.

They got the weights and the treadmills and the staff is nice

Starting October 1, 2020 the Y will be staying open until 8 pm Monday through Thursday.
