You can’t get anyone on the phone. If you do they will transfer you to a random person or just hang up on you. The medical home port model is horrible. I still can not talk to my primary care doctor.nnAttempted to call the customer service number provided......no answernn3.5 hours trying to talk to someone with no result. This is a failure in system.

I had called to make an appointment the day prior with intentions to get a small operation on my feet. Today they performed the operation and I was fortunate to have had an ideal experience; waiting was short all around and the staff was affable. It was not insignificantly better than the rest of my experiences at other Naval hospitals.

As active military I’ve been to a fair share of mil hospitals. I had a short visit to this facility while TAD in Norfolk and I honestly can’t agree with the other reviews. Everyone was friendly and able to direct me where I needed to go. I was able to see a Doc quickly, and the pharmacy was a short wait.nnMaybe I just caught them on a good day, but honestly one of the better experiences I’ve had at mil hospitals.

Terrible process. You have to go through so many hoops to get a simple signature. Departments seem like all they do is butt-pass. Two different occasions, I ran around that clinic trying to find the right people to finish up my separation process and I ended up just giving up and going home. Every time I come to that clinic I feel like I accomplish nothing.

Not the fault of the actual healthcare providers, but I can't schedule a routine appt for the next two months because they are so backed up! Their systems won't allow them to schedule beyond two months, so I will have to cakl several times a day hoping someone else cancels. This will make it a challenge for any Sailor assigned to Hampton Roads naval medical clinics since all Sailors must have a current PHA to participate in physical training.
