I do not like this school, I can't wait for my child to be done with this school. I've been to the school on many occasions and notice that the kids are always hanging out in the hallway during classroom times. They are usually standing right next to the security guards at the sign in area on their phones. Majority of the office staff is horrible. The security staff is horrible. The teachers act like they are afraid of the students and so allow them to do whatever they like in their classroom. On one occasion I walked into a Math class and saw the teacher listening to music and dancing while the students were walking around in the class and just doing there own thing. If a student is good with the security then they are allowed to get away with anything. I do not recommend this school.
Horrible school! The Hampton City Public School District as a whole is a clear example of inappropriate use of federal funds, an under achieving administration and staff. I work on different campuses and have insight into just how run down the buildings are. Bethel HS and Hampton HS being among the worst. School food is among the cheapest selection. Their are complaints of food being served cold and food of no nutritional value. There is no leadership in this school and it shows! Students are chronically Bullied!! And I've witnessed this! Hampton City schools are a Disgrace!
