Excellent experience with salesperson, Shawn! Experience with the so called move coordinator was terrible! She sent me scripted information via email about who would come and when. Her tone was condescending when she replied to a few of my questions, I didn’t hear from her from several days before the movers came until 7 days after the move...although she was supposed to send me a form to pay for the delivery. When she called delivery day and left a voicemail, she lied saying that I had told her I was paying by cashier check. I never even considered that. When I confronted her about it, she apologized!nnRegardless, she was not in touch to see how things went with the packers. And she didn’t respond when I reached out about payment on the Friday before delivery, so I contacted Shawn.nnAfter payment was made, I received an email asking for feedback and to leave the comments on a voicemail. Voicemail comments can easily be erased so I chose to document my feedback in writing.nnThe packers and movers were effective and efficient. The offloading was delayed by me because I gave the driver the wrong code. Their patience was appreciated!nnThose who unloaded packed my storage unit to the top...since apparently it should have been larger. My concern was that I expressly asked for the boxes with pastel labels be placed near the door. Those are the box’s I needed to function. That wasn’t done... so I have to pay movers to rearrange items so that I have access. (I decided to split it into two storage units using your sister company Coleman.)nnFeel free to contact me if you have questions!nnThanks!

I would like to convey my wife’s and my unpleasant experience with Allied Van Lines - Dunmar Moving Systems. We were moving from Richmond, Virginia to New Hampshire. We were given a pick up date of Wednesday 1/6/21 and the pick up went flawlessly with the long distance driver and three helpers. On the moving day we were told that delivery would be in Sunday 1/10/21. The driver arrived just after 8am and began preliminary work for the day. Two helpers were supposed to have arrived between 8am and 9am. They did not. The driver actually was able to contact them and they said they would be at the house in about 30 minutes. That time passed and more calls from the driver only now they were going to the helpers voice mail. I had been helping the driver move boxes, etc until about Noon when it was finally apparent no help was coming. The driver said that he would come the next day to deliver. That was a problem since my wife had to work on Monday and I had made a commitment to a family member to take them for outpatient surgery and required a driver. My wife and I pledged our help to get the truck unloaded around Noon. The driver accepted the help. We worked until about 6:30pm moving everything, including extremely heavy oak furniture, into the house. First thing Monday morning I contacted our Dunmar moving coordinator and after several conversations, including one with a Dunmar VP. They offered $200 compensation to a customer (us) for our work. Sorry, this was insulting and unacceptable. They didn’t deliver when they said, wanted to switch gears on the fly with no notice and were surprised we called them on it? Calls to Allied corporate offices yielded the same answer. Allied clearly doesn’t care to make their customers happy, they don’t care who they inconvenience as long as it suits them and feel no remorse of having the customer unload their own truck. Dunmar is a very poor customer service organization. Allied likewise does not care about their customers. Stay away from them!! (That is me with the red hoodie in the pictures)

They were very accommodating ! I had to reschedule two times and was in a panic but they put my mind at ease! The guys were nice and took good care of my furniture. I would highly recommend

We had about two months between the sale of our old home and the closing on our new home in another state. Dunmar did an excellent job. The team of packers was very respectful of our things and all items were packed with great care. We were thrilled to receive each and every one of our possessions on the other end without any damage. The final delivery was prompt and all Dunmar employees were true professionals. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again

Stay away! We made a long distance move from Virginia to New Hampshire last week. The crew loaded our things onto the truck on Wednesday and said they would be delivered the following Sunday. The driver showed up, but his local helpers did not. After almost 4 hours (during which my husband was helping unload some smaller items), it was obvious that no help was coming. So the three of us (me, my husband, and the driver) unloaded an entire 26’ truck by ourselves. We didn’t finish until almost 7:00 pm. For this privilege, we paid $7,500.nnWe contacted Dunmar the next day to ask for a partial refund and they said that it was “our choice” to unload the truck and that they could have come back on Monday. According to them, this was within their “delivery window” and therefore completely ok. Never mind that we had arranged our schedule to have things delivered on Sunday (the day they picked). We also both had commitments the following day (work and taking a family member for a surgical procedure) that we could have made other arrangements for, had we known in advance. (Both the driver and the VP we spoke to at Dunmar told us that it was difficult to get help on Sundays and they would have had “more resources” on Monday. So why did they choose to deliver our things on a Sunday?)nnAfter escalating our complaint to the corporate customer relations department, the best they offered us is $200, which is what the helpers would have been paid ($100 each). We declined. Clearly Dunmar (and Allied) aren’t concerned about customer satisfaction, only the bottom line.
