Winchester Family Practice

This email made it sound like dr Shalash would be filling out my required form for an emotional support animal. But when I finally got an appointment Dr Shalash basically laughed in my face and was very rude. Also she asked me to take my mask off even though I told her the room I was in I wasnt allowed to remove my mask as there was posted signage saying I must have it on.nnShe also lied to me about what we discussed at our last appointment when I remember clearly what she said last time. She claimed it was against their policy to write recommendations for emotional support animals but that email does not give any indication at all on if it is against a policy. Plus the last appointment she did not bring up any sort of policy she just said it was against her personal opinion based off a post she saw in a Facebook group. Also, at My last appointment with her she told me I needed to be in therapy in order for her to consider it, which I am.nnAny time I tried to talk during the telehealth appointment she was VERY RUDE and kept talking over me. I tried to tell her what she said last time but she kept cutting me off with more laughing and unkind words. Very unprofessional to treat a patient like that.nnShe has always been mean, rude and insensitive since I met this woman as my primary care doctor when I first moved to KY 10ish years ago.nnI would not recommend Winchester family practice for anyone for not just the reasons outlined above. They never call you back with test results for illnesses you have to call them several times to eventually maybe get an answer.nnAlso she did not make me take a pregnancy test before getting on birth control a couple years ago when I informed her there was a chance I was pregnant. Which is VERY UNETHICAL and possibly illegal.nnPlease save yourself the trouble and find a different doctor.

Love this place everyone is so friendly. I trust them with my health and my family's health. Would highly recommend. They discuss any concerns you may have and you feel welcome and like family not just another insurance card walking in

Started going to WFP almost three years ago. Ultra satisfied with the staff, office, environment, and doctor. Highly recommend them to everyone. I travel from Bourbon County to see them specifically. Short to same day appointments in some situations. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Can't say enough about them. If it's up to me I will never go anywhere else.
