Albany Public Library

Some of the best &,most helpful staff I've found in 65 years of useing libraries,so get over the unhoused population using them for services& shelter.

Great library, study rooms, a nice colorful kids section with a play area, a lounge area with a bunch of chairs, desks, lots of books(of course), computers, also the adult and young adult section is upstairs so you don't have to worry about kids, and even if you're in the lounge area by the kids section, you don't have to worry too much about noise

We come here all of the time. It's a great place to bring kids!! We love the play area, the book selection, friendly staff, and my son is getting ready to enter their Lego display project. Kids 6+ get a chance to make a Lego set of their own and possibly have It displayed in the kids play area. It's a very relaxing place to come to read/study while the kids stay busy.

I think it's quiet simply terrific, a great place for knowledge to be aquired and a good place to read. They have a great selection of movies and books and audiobooks to listen to.
