Local Boyz has fantastic food, and the portions are amazing.nnI'm pretty sure it's operated by one family, so I have seen it closed during posted hours, once. It's not a problem because every food place downstairs is also great.

Local boys is straight dank. The shoyu chicken melts in my mouth and is full of flavor. The rice is perfectly sticky but not fry. And the mac.. Wow. I actually really dislike Mac salad or any cold noodle. But the way I eat theirs you'd never know. All three are a perfect match for each other and it's also very affordable. Love love love it.

Good flavor but the steak has been pretty fatty last few times we've ordered. The chicken is shredded so its usually easier to pull away from but there was a huge chunk of fat right on the top of my chicken. But other than that, decent and rather quick food:)

Ordered the #24 combo which gets you steak, shredded chicken and sweet ribs, so we could try a little bit of everything.nAll were flavorful but the spare ribs were the shining star. They were flavorful and had that nice carmelized finish on the sauce that hit the spot.nThe shredded chicken was a solid 2nd.nSteak was chewy, not really worth the hassle when those sweet ribs are there for you.nnIt was a boatload of meat in total.nnThe macaroni salad is quite heavy on the mayo, and optional vegetable side was mediocre at best. Ended up drowning those veggies in the sauce they gave on the side.

Grilled chicken breast was good, and appreciated the generous and good (optional) veggies, but Teriyaki chicken with no sauce! Called and was told they don't put it on unless you specifically ask! WHO SENDS TERIYAKI TAKEOUT THAT WAY!? Might have been 5 stars otherwise. Ask for sauce and make sure you get it!
