Christmas on the Pecos

Have been wanting to do this for years. Was a very nice cruise around the Pecos River, the Christmas lights and decorations were Great. We had called in the afternoon was told best to purchase tickets online before hand. We purchased tickets, wrote down number and screen shot receipt and verification number. We went and ate before the cruise. Put the address in the navigation, took us to the Chamber of Commerce in town, no one there, no one to answer the phone. Drove in circles, trying to figure out where to go. Remembered the lady told us was behind The Bureau of Land Management put that address in, by the grace of God found the Sign for Christmas on the Pecos, was still confusing as to where to go. Figured it out parked then was difficult to find ticket office in the back.. The Cruise and BEAUTIFUL LIGHTS made it all worth it. After we got back to the motel saw my email that had all the information we needed.

It was kind of disappointing cause I expected a better light show display especially since it was my first time going. Some houses didn't put much of an effort or there needs to be more of a Christmas spirit for the people that pay for the boat rides that's all!

Make reservations because this is a very popular event. It's a beautiful cruise down the Pecos river looking at Holiday lights. Dress warmly!

So very disappointing.... we did this 15years ago with my nieces and nephews and it was spectacular... so now that I have kids of my own I thought with all the money from the oil fields now it would surely blow our minds. However that was definitely not the case. The million dollar homes were nice, but the Christmas decor along with the effort put in was way below the bar. If coming from El Paso enjoy Fred Loya’s house it is always a site to see. The staff who work for Christmas on the Pecos were very friendly and put fourth all the Christmas spirit and for that we were thankful. Just wish the Scrooge’s who own the million dollar homes would participate with the intent to Impress. They really could have something spectacular to offer for Christmas time in Carlsbad New Mexico.

They needed more lights display our appointment was at 7:30 the ride was only 45 mins, but by the time we got off the boat ride, the activities were closed and it was a Friday nightud83eudd14.. and they didn't even have funnel cake I was so disappointed...
