Got double charged for a service, brought that to their attention, just got a refund with not even an apology or any acknowledgment, it can happen to all of us. Still, it's a common courtesy to apologize when you make a mistake. I guess common sense is not that common. Besides, the double charge was caught after we had to request our bill twice.nFurther, the vet tech says one thing and the front desk completely other - miscommunication.nLastly, if you want people's business, you have to show them respect and appreciation for their trust in your knowledge and expertise to deal with their pet's medical issues. Meaning - if we can't go inside and talk to the vet due to COVID concerns, then the vet should come outside, as not all visits are routine check-ups, and you can't build a trustworthy relationship with the pet's owner without direct face to face communication. Don't send your vet techs because it got proven (twice) that they are not capable of passing the message in its entirety, that is how things fall through the cracks, and there is a lot at stake - a beloved pet's life!nAll the above proves your service/price ratio is not up to par - you are providing a half-service yet still charging full price for it.nnYou have lost our business (around $2k just in the last few months) and our recommendations.

The vets are great but they need to work on educating their front desk.nFirst - you don’t answer the business phone with “Hello”, I didn’t called your house but an establishment.nSecond, if I ask ‘do you have something in stock’ it doesn’t mean you should put it in a bag and charge me for it, I didn’t say - ‘give me this’ , I said - ‘do you have it in stock’.nI like the vets and will keep coming, but everything has a limit, and at certain point the level of customer service will prevail.

I am giving this a 1 star review due to over billing and terrible service. We brought our 11 month old Golden in who had been acting stiff and lethargic for a full day. I asked if they could perform a quick exam to see if anything serious was going on. My dog was taken to have his blood drawn (which is all I had authorized them to do at this point) and we were left in the exam room for 2 full hours with no news. Our only contact was the manager peeking in to tell us she was leaving for the day.nnEnd of my visit I had paid over $800 (more than $600 I never authorized) for them to tell me my dog was not feeling well and could have anything ranging from a muscle sprain to terminal cancer. I was sent home and told to bring him back for another $200 blood panel the next day since their machine may have screwed it up...... They also did a full round of x-rays which I never approved, and had the courtesy to tell me that even though two were useless because they had screwed them up I would be billed regardless.nnFast forward to a week later, my dog was fine and his regular vet diagnosed a back sprain in 5 minutes just by inspecting the dog. $75 later I was out the door with some mild medication.nnOn top of all this Aspen Animal Hospital has still not sent the xrays and blood results back to my regular vet. This is after 4 phone calls from myself and a few from my vet.nnGood doctors... but the technicians and support staff are absolutely awful. You will have a better experience taking your dog to a Jiffy Lube than Aspen Animal Hospital. They are in the business of making money, not helping animals.
