I've taken two fabulous trips with Westport Seabirds. Phil is an excellent captain and puts passengers at ease with his handling of rough seas. The spotters are highly knowledgeable and are fun to visit with. I logged 14 life birds on the two summer trips I have taken. These folks know where the birds are! Pelagic trips attract enthusiastic birders who make delightful traveling companions. Looking forward to my next trip!
It can be hit or miss on such trips. My April trip was very good. Some new life birds and some great view at others. The crew was very knowledgable and good at spotting. Will be back.
Captain Anderson and the spotters found and identified everything that swam or flew: birds, mammals, and fish. Amazing knowledge. I plan to make this trip !any more times.
