Franklin City Municipal Court

This is crazy was told as long as payment was made I wouldn’t have to come back to court the next hearing well all my fines (large amount) was paid except 300$ so I paid over 1300 towards them , Went on to work on the day of my court hearing even called the clerk to double check I would be ok , she told me as well I did not have to appear, as it shows I did pay & not only did I pay but I paid way more then my set payment agreement like I said I paid off 90% of my fines and cost So ofcourse I should be ok ud83dudc4cud83cudffc NO A WARRENT WAS ISSUED I WAS ARRESTED AND MISSED TOO MUCH WORK , I just thank god my boss was cool enough to hold my job for me I ONLY WISH THEY COULD GET THERE COMMUNICATION SKILLS SHARPER , that’s a huge mistake on there part And the judge even released me after digging and seeing I did in fact pay I was issued an apology BUT CAN I APOLOGIZE TO THEM IF I MAKE A MISTAKE NO THE ANSWER IS NO , SO WITH THIS BEING SAID THE CITY OF FRANKLIN MUNICIPAL COURT ON 1 Benjamin way needs to get it tightened up a little better

Was told I can pay my ticket online or over the phone. Although, I had to go to court because they did not enter the ticket into their system on time. Very disappointing and a waist of time.

I was pulled over on February 7th at about noon in Franklin by a trooper. When he served me my ticket, I asked him how much the fee was, and he stated that he could not give me prices, but that I could go online to pay my ticket and I would not need to appear in court. I checked every day on the court's website for my ticket to be put into the system. Now, they do state on their website that it will take 3-4 business days for the citation to show in their system. That was cool with me, my court date wasn't until February 18th. I found the price of the ticket online, which was incredibly high and absolutely absurd for going under 20 over, but whatever. I was just going to wait until I could pay my ticket online and be done with all of this.nnFast forward to seven days later (five business days later) and my ticket is still not in the system. I call the court building, and someone actually answered! In the most annoyed and unpleasant tone possible, she informed me that my ticket wasn't showing in their system either. She then proceeds to tell me I won't be able to view it until one or two days BEFORE my court date. Well, here we are, February 17th at 5:00pm, and my citation is still. not. in. their. system. I cannot even view my citation to pay it THE NIGHT BEFORE MY COURT DATE. There is a lot of choice words I have for this system and the people I have dealt with during this process. So now I need to be at the court building tomorrow, on a work day, before 3pm so I don't have my license suspended.

The way they do things here is entirely insufficient. They need to reform their process. I understand the people who work their are not interested in the convenience or well being of their “clients/costumers” but I can’t wrap my head around WHY this court is so outdated and poorly managed.

The whole ticket system here is a scam! I completely own up to the speeding ticket but I didn’t appreciate the misleading information regarding fines!! The automated system gives you ticket amounts based on your speed but if you pay it online be prepared to pay a 7.75 service charge as well as an additional 13 dollars that no one can explain. My ticket was due on a Friday and it wasn’t available to pay until THE DAY BEFORE. Then when I noticed the difference in amount I attempted SEVERAL times to contact the court and left a message for NO ONE to return my call!! My $142 ticket showed $162.75 after all of their hidden fees!! It’s a shame court systems can take advantage of people like this!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!!!
