The only downfall of Utah State University. Desks are crammed together. Very small room. The TVs with relaxing images and the big clocks are a nice touch, though.

The testing center was created to give an alternative to in-class exams. Instead many professors now rely on it for all exams as the only option, sometimes having a Testing Center exam every week. The testing center is seemingly designed to be stressful, I have never been to a place where I can feel a general atmosphere of anxiety quite like the Testing Center. The university should require professors to give an alternative for every exam like an in class or at home test with TA proctors instead of just requiring the testing center.

Starting this semester (Fall 2019) the testing center has required students to schedule their tests online so there are no more walk-in appointments, and I don't know if if that was the cause, but this semester the lines for the testing center have been outrageously long! In previous semesters I could just walk in without having to wait more than two minutes or so (except for finals week I had to wait at most 5-7min). I have had to sit in lines for almost 15min this semester. I don't know what the problem is, but it's absurd. Otherwise, the testing environment is nice and staff are great to work with, so no complaints there!

While I’m not a big fan of having to devote time outside of class to take a test, this place is pretty good! They seem to have gotten a good rhythm and can get people into the testing center pretty quick. The staff is nice and they know what they are doing. It makes testing a lot easier when the testing center runs smoothly!

The USU Kaysville testing center was closed today so I drove to Logan to take the exam. When I arrived at the Logan testing center the line was out the door! I started the exam at 1:45 and the testing center insisted I be done by their closing time at 2:30 not giving me the full 60 min I had to take the exam. I have never once experienced this hard testing cut off before at Kaysville campus. I couldn’t believe it. Kaysville has always allowed me to finish exams even passed closing hours. So unfortunately I had problems that I didn’t finish nor did I get to go back and review my work. Students should be given time to finish their exams!
